2009 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc

The 2009 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc fruit is located on the Gamble Ranch, which lies between the Yountville and Oakville Crossroads, right in the heart of the Napa Valley.  The fruit was harvested December 1st, 2009 with a brix level of 39.3°.  The juice for this wine was fermented in neutral French oak barrels and held to age for 6 months.
This limited production wine ( 155 cases ) is very elegant with aromas of  honey, melon, pear , apricot, and white flowers, balanced by a crisp acidity with lingering flavors of honey, melon, sweet fig, apricot, and sage.
